VEBKO Online Help is a searchable technical knowledge platform that provides structured training, operating instructions, troubleshooting guides, and practical test procedures for VEBKO products and AMPro software.
From the first need to the final solution
The initial need
The project required a centralized online help system that could support customers, commissioning engineers, relay-test specialists, distributors, and internal teams with searchable access to software operation, device configuration, test modules, wiring instructions, practical relay examples, troubleshooting, and archived software information.
The main challenge
VEBKO had a very large collection of technical articles, videos, screenshots, software instructions, protection-test procedures, troubleshooting documents, and version-specific resources. The main challenge was to organize this extensive and continuously growing content into a clear structure where users could quickly locate the correct subject without searching through separate documents, folders, videos, and manuals.
The proposed solution
I developed a categorized static web knowledge base with a searchable subject index, expandable navigation, reusable article pages, multimedia support, multilingual content structure, software-version archives, and printable full manuals. Content was divided into logical areas such as installation, settings, AMPro modules, instrument testing, relay protection tests, hardware, troubleshooting, IEC 61850 topics, and software releases, allowing users to move directly from a general category to a detailed technical procedure.

Technical Content Audit
Reviewed existing videos, articles, manuals, screenshots, software instructions, test procedures, and troubleshooting resources to identify the complete content scope.
Content Taxonomy and Classification
Organized the content into software, hardware, test modules, protection functions, instrument tests, troubleshooting, relay products, and software-version categories.
Navigation and User Journey Design
Designed hierarchical menus and topic navigation so users could move quickly from general categories to detailed technical instructions.
Reusable Article Template Development
Created consistent templates for titles, descriptions, images, videos, diagrams, navigation controls, publishing information, and technical sections.
Technical Media Production and Integration
Produced and integrated instructional videos, software screenshots, technical diagrams, wiring images, animations, and practical test demonstrations.
Multilingual Content Structure
Prepared a shared page and navigation structure that could support translated technical articles while preserving consistent layout and terminology.

What this project delivered
The final result is a centralized and scalable technical-support platform that gives users continuous access to VEBKO’s product knowledge without depending entirely on direct support sessions. It reduces the time required to find operating instructions, creates consistency across customer training, and provides a structured reference for software modules, device setup, practical tests, troubleshooting, and previous software releases. The platform currently covers a wide range of topics including AMT Sequencer, Overcurrent, Distance, Differential, CT, Circuit Breaker, CVT, Transformer, resistance testing, relay protection functions, GOOSE messaging, PMU testing, AMR relay operation, troubleshooting, and downloadable full manuals.
